In the search for ever more eco-friendly ideas, I heard about using hay bales for exterior construction in homes as the main frame of the house. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it really as good as it's manufacturers claim? As fire resistant?

I saw it down on a home show on TV, it seemed very interesting.
