You could be bloated. I know some days I feel like I am huge and sometimes look it, but it turns out to be bloating. Some days it will be smaller and some days bigger. Movement a 9 weeks... Idont think you can feel that early because the baby is the size of your thumb.

Your baby starts to move between 7 and 8 weeks, I believe. You can see the movement on an ultrasound, like I did mines while being almost 8 weeks. Moms who had more than 1 child can pick up the differences between gas or movement than a 1st time mom. Also, a slimmer person can feel the movement more than a person that weights more. You won't feel the baby kick until around 12 weeks or more. Also, your be able to feel movement by placing your hand on your stomach.

At 9 weeks you will not yet be feeling baby move. Most likely you, and I don't mean this to sound awful, you are feeling gas, or, what we call in the medical field, peristalsis. Which means you are feeling the food and whatnot moving through your intestines.
This is a common feeling that many women mistake for baby movements. Movements are rarely, even in women who have had multiple children, felt before 12 weeks at the very earliest.
**Edit** The average woman feels movement for the first time around 20 weeks.

Wow I have never heard of people feeling movement that early. And I do agree with you that it couldn't be gas all the time. But that early in pregnancy I do think a lot of it could be gas. But it is wounderful that this pregnancy is going we'll for you I do know what the loss of a child feels like and I am sorry u had to go through that, but I wish u the best of luck with this pregnancy

In all honesty, at 9 weeks you CANNOT feel movement. The baby is only about 3 centimeters long. Smaller than your ovaries. This is not true baby movements. At 12 weeks it may be a little more possible, but still unlikely. Those that feel baby movements at around 12 weeks are multipara women. Women who have had multiple children and know what the feeling really is, and then it is still subjective.
According to ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists), true movement is not felt until the doctor/nurse actually feels it. That is the definition, now there is a fine line there too.

I didn't feel actual movement until the end of April early June. Which would have been about roughly 22 weeks and this is my 2nd pregnancy. No affence to her but I believe ( and this is my owm oppion) that there isn't a possibility that she is feeling movement expecialy since she said she has had miscarried and most misscarriges happen in the first 12 weeks and you can't feel movement then and so she really couldn't know what she is feeling or trying to feel.
