My wife's Grandfather fought in the World War II, I don't remember what beach he said they were on but they picked up a Japanese Flag that they found in with the rubble. It's still stained with blood. We are going to put it in a frame but we were wondering what it would be valued at ?
Thanks,
blaira

Don't trust eBay for this unless you really know what you are looking at. Ebay has a bad habit of having fakes. Try to stick with reputable dealers
Try to find something equivalent here.

My dad was in Okanowia and brought back a Japanese Flag white silk with writing on it. How can I get it Authenticated and what would it be worth. I'd like to know what the writing says and possibly return it to the descendants of the soldier.

Is there anyway I can get in touch with some who can translate the writing and print it out for me the way it is on the flag?

So contact Ebay about the false claims and send it back - you bought a medal because your Grandfather served in WWII? He didn't earn a medal, but you bought one because he served in the War? At one time it was illegal to buy and sell military awards. Perhaps that has changed.
Meanwhile, do you have an answer to the question?
For OP - a collector of war memorabilia will be able to place a value on the flag and provide a translation.
It must be a wonderful keepsake.
