Hello All,
I am new to the site and already I see I like it a whole bunch.

I need some information. I have bought a " Atlas Rototiller " Model ART 48
And am in need of a bronze gear down in the tine drive transmission.
After doing some research I know Atlas built snowblowers back in 1978 on up to1995 and all kinds of other equipment but no one seems to know anything about Atlas down here in the south. According to the information I got off the Oscar Wilson website the young lady at the Oscar Wilson parts division said that Atlas was bought up by " Lawn Chief " and the only thing that came up on their computer was a ART48-N model who was produced by Lawn Chief. Later I found out that Lawn chief was a store brand name for True value.
Can you please put me in contact with somebody whom can help me as I am in need of part # 624452? Unfortually when I gently rubbed the only numbers on the sticker on the side of the frame they wiped right off with that wisk of my finger, (And I only thought they were hard to read when I started). After reviewing the pictures and parts list I got from the folks at Oscar Wilson I know this is the right machine by all the pictures and identifying parts.

The Oscar Wilson parts list for the ART48-N is as follows
(S/N 522474-522493-522492)
(O/M 542190)

Thanks and God Bless

Hello All
I just found this on www. Donaldsantiquerototillers.com

Atlas Power Equipment Co.
General Power Equipment Co.
Harvard, Illinois 60033

General Power Equipment was the parent company of Atlas, Lawn Chief, and Wheeler.
All three brands became the property of MTD.

The real question is does anyone know where to get that bronze worm gear I am in Need of?

Thanks all
Gary C.

I need the same gear and sent it to a gear shop, they can make them but they aren't cheap, If a few people still need this gear we can get a decent price. This gear is used on many brands of tillers.
