I disassembled my computer to have the power jack reattached to the motherboard. Then I reassembled it and reinstalled WindowsXP pro. I have all the driver reinstalled (I think), but I can't get my wireless working. I use Broadcom Wireless Utility, and it states that, "The radio of my wireless adapter is not currently turned on." I made sure to connect the wireless card to the motherboard and to the antennas, but I can't find information on how to "turn on the radio of my wireless adapter." On the left side on the laptop is a switch that used to turn the wireless on and off, and would display a line of text on the screen that would say, "Wireless connection now on/off." Now that switch does not appear to be doing anything, but I checked the inside of the computer and it is intact and the parts move correctly.

Can someone please help me turn of the darn radio? "

Have you reinstalled the radio software also? I'm not sure what you have there, but many such boards require you to install the radio card.
Go to Start and to Installed Programs (or Configuration board), and check if the program is installed and/or has a software problem. If so, re-install the card.

Success!

For the Broadcomm Wireless, go to Start, Control Panel. There you will see the wireless utility. Open this up and enable the Radio.
