Ive browsed through the threads, and I realize that this will seem rather similar to all others, however, I feel it is somewhat different - thus my complusion to post.

Ive been pregnant before - although it was not fullterm - and so memory serves me in relation to the symptoms. With that pregnancy, I had taken 3 HPT, all of which were negative. The only reason I went to the doctors to get a blood test was my deep conviction that I was, indeed, pregnant. (that, and no period). I do not remember at what point the symptoms hit me however...

well, as of today, I am a week late for my period. I have taken a HPT and it was negative. However; I firmly believe that I could be pregnant. I have to urinate a lot, and I have this feeling of "fullness". Other than that, no symptoms as far as I am aware... I am constantly in a sports bra nowadays around the house and while asleep, so naturally, they feel heavy when taken off. I am completely stress free, and although I have a completely turned around sleep schedule, I am totally rested... so I cannot think that there could be some other reason for a missed period...

I supposed my quiry is this - is it possible that I am pregnant - especially since I am so thoroughly convinced... AND... is the false negative a frequent problem for others?

thank you so much for your help ^.^

False negatives are fairly common as it can take a few weeks, sometimes longer, for a positive to show up on a hpt. Some women will get an accurate result even before their period is late, but the majority have to wait longer.
Obviously your period could just be off, so give it another week and see what happens. You could always check about getting a blood test again as well.
