View Full Version : Girl or boy baby mixed intuitions!

Hello all. I am 31 weeks pregnant with my second baby and I have a wonderful little girl. I wasn't much sick with her, craved chocolate cake and all the chinese charts said girl - as well as my intuition.
This time I am not sure. I was really sick (old wives tales say girl right?), I have a bigger rounder bump(but second pregnancy so this happens right?), I like carbohydrates and crisps this time, chinese charts are giving mixed answers (most say boy but some say girl) and I have less intuition although thought at beginning it was a girl. Not sure now. USS wouldn't tell us but me and husband looked and didn't see a willy. Do you all think it's a girl or boy? Oh yes and it never stops moving and my midwife says that this happens more with boys?
By the way I am happy either way but just interested in all your experiences.

There are so many old wives' tales about determining gender! It's fun to speculate, but the only way you will know for sure is with an amnio or once baby is born. Even ultrasounds don't always get it right and plenty of people have had to go home and repaint the baby's room... :)
My own experience shoots all of the wives' tales out of the water... didn't get sick with any of them... no real cravings... carried them all low and out in front... all very active... heartbeats fluctuated... chinese chart was 50/50... and I have two boys and two girls... :)

You're not going to know for sure now until you deliver. It's nice to make guesses but I wouldn't put any store by them. Even the more medically inclined old wives tales tell you nothing. A doctor once told me that he thought my baby was a girl because of the fast heart-rate. Nope. That was my son. I've had four kids, I only had morning sickness with my eldest (girl) but not with the others (boy and two girls). I craved chocolate for my first, orange juice for the boy, strawberries and oranges for the next girl and vimto lollies for the last. So cravings don't match up. The chinese calender is always likely to be 50% right. I've had big bumps and small bumps so that doesn't figure either. And even maternal intuition failed me with the last. I thought I was carrying a boy, but no, another girl.
Anyway, have fun guessing and congratulations on your pregnancy!

When I was pregnant with the boys I thought I was a girl both times but I wasn't sure like you my gut said girl then it said boy well when I was pregnant with my girl I knew for sure she was a girl I just felt in my guts and heart she was a girl and wouldn't you know I had a 5 pound little girl

With my son I just knew. But he did move around constantly. He was very very very active it was always hard for ultrasound techs to get correct measurements because he would not stop moving. I was more naseauted with my son but hardly ever threw up. I had horrible acne with my son too. I usually have very clear and nice skin but when I was pregnant with him it was awful. I didn't go by the chinese charts because one said a boy and another said a girl. Then we found out the sex and it was a boy. His legs were spread open, he was not shy one bit and there was no mistaking his boy part.
Now for this one I have had awful morning sickness, no break outs yet, I am craving a lot of spicy stuff, and I feel like it's a girl.

I have been pregnant twice, and currently is, with my daghter I carried low and everyone said it was a girl, and it was. This time I am rooting for another girl, boyfriend wants a boy. I want to know the sex, he don't. He likes the waiting game and sees what come out, now I'm playing the game too, but might cheat.
Sometimes the tales seem true but sometimes its not and just a lucky guess.
