OK, here's the story. There's this guy at work that I have a huge crush on, but I was worried that he was married so I tried to stop myself from liking him and definitely didn't act on it. Well I found out about two weeks ago that he liked me, he wasn't married and he had been worried that I was married. Well the girl that told me he liked me said that he told her to put in a good word for him. She later told him that he should ask me out. Several days passed and no word from this guy except for the occasional brief conversation. Another guy that works closely with him, asked me when I was going to go out to dinner with him. I said "when he asks" So this guy says he's going to talk to him. Well I decided (since they say he's shy) that I was going to make it really easy and start the conversation. So him and I talked for like half an hour PASSED the time I was supposed to have left from work. And still no real signal that he was interested in going out. I mean we talked and joked and had a good time, so I guess that's a signal, but seriously why is is so hard for a guy to ask out a girl that he KNOWS will say yes. Please help. I'm a southern girl born and raised, and we were always taught not to ask the guy out, but I'm getting impatient and I'm a nervous wreck. What if it's a lie and he doesn't like me? What if I got so excited about nothing? Someone give me your 2 cents please.
P.S. by the way this is just a summer job so I'm not concerned about the dating a guy I work with thing because come August I won't be working with him anymore. Which makes the situation pressing as well because I won't see him after August either:(
