What is a credit card judgement and what happens when you get one? Do I have a chance for other settelments. Only have soc. Securtity and husband is on SS and disability. Live in North Carolina. I offered the credit card co. my payment options but it wasn't enough. This happened because of health reasons and doctor bills.

A judgement is what's awarded in a suit brought in a court of law. If a credit card company sues you and wins they are awarded a judgement against you. That judgement may then be used to attach assets.
Once a jusgement is awarded the creditor has little incentive to settle.
However, if your only income, is SS payments, you can tell your bank that the only amounts deposited are exepmt payments to forestall attachment of your bank accounts.
