So I was caught shoplifting at the bay and they said I was charged with theft under 5000. But all they did was tell me, I didn't sign any papers and they didn't give me a court date or tell me I had to go to the station. And I was wondering was I actually charged they said that if I was I would get something in the mail in a month or two. I'm a first time offender and don't really know the system. I'm confused.
