What or where can I find information regarding lemon laws protecting people with regards to cell phones.

Why won't the cell phone carrier exchange the phone? Usually you can exchange the phone within a set period for another phone. Am not aware of any lemon laws on cell phones.

There is normally no lemon laws for all products, you should have a written contract with the phone company and there should be also a warranty on the phone.

If you will tell us what problems you are having with the phone, and what you have done to ask them to fix it and what they have done.

We have found out from Verizon that we live in a marginal area and they have no intentions on upgradeing our area. That means that while some phones work great out here others do not. I had a phone that did not work and after trading it for the same type of phone 4 times they finally gave me a different phone. My daughter has a Juke and I have been told that no matter how many times we change the phone they will only give her another Juke. They will not change her into another phone. With what I paid for that phone, they should trade for a phone of equall or lesser value to what I paid. Now the problem is getting them to do that. Any ideas?

Hello mary:

Certainly, I would look for a way to FORCE them to change the phone, if they're acting so outrageously. However, the devil is in the details - even MORE details than you have provided.

If you can tell us HOW you found out the stuff from Verizon, and what the reason they give for NOT working with you, that would help immensely...

Short of that, and I don't know how much success you're going to have being adversarial with them, I'd try to speak with a supervisor instead of the first salesperson you get. If you're a good customer, they want to keep you. At least the smarter ones do.

Since that is now a used phone, have you asked the local store for possiblly exchanging for a used phone.

Also in the end, since there is actually nothing wrong with the phone, it is the service area if they can not provide service in a area promised, you may be able to get out of your phone contract.

And they do sell most of all the phones for little of nothing on eBay, it may be cheaper in the end to buy a cheap phone off eBay to use.

You can try contacting the local public service commission in your area.

Well, I found out that they cannot guarantee service in our area because I just went through then same thing with my phone. I had a Chocolate, and after 4 tries they finally gave me a Razr 2. The Razr works fine. My husband has an Envy and his phone works fine. It just seems to be that there are some phones that do not work well in this area. But, Verizon said they cannot change her phone because it is a Juke. That seems to be ridiculous that they could change my phone and not hers.
