My 2002 toyota tacoma starts great but after going about 5 or 10 miles down the road sometimes it will quit. I have to coast to a safe place and restart it. Sometimes it restarts the first time. Most of the time I have to let it sit 4 or 5 minutes and it starts. It is driving me crazy. I have put the higher grade of gas in it and same thing--stalling while going down the road or coming to a stop light.

Ensure the fuel filter has been recently changed. My father's Tacoma is very sensitive to fuel filters and will stall on the road, if its are not changed regularly.

Are fuel filters hard to put in. I can work well on the older model cars but have not tried to tackle the newer models.
Thanks

This is what it looks like (very standard):

While we find your parts, please enter your ZIP Code at PartsAmerica.com (http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductDetail.aspx?MfrCode=PUR&MfrPartNumber=F45075&PartType=4&PTSet=A)

Remember to depressurize the system and to disconnect the negative battery cable, before beginning work. Easy job.
