Bought Hunter 44660 therostat. Can't seem to hook it up. Called Hunter 3X. Left message. No reply. Read manual. Searched this forum and Google! Am a systems mgr still can't make this work. Need help!

On Carrier furnace control panel wiring is like this

C = White Wire
Y = Yellow Wire
GC = Green Wire
GH = not hooked to anything
R = Red Wire
W = White Wire

Back of Hunter 44660 has these options!

G - Fan Relay
Rc - Cool 24V Supply
Rc1 - Bridged to Rc, yet sticker in unit says not to do this.
Rh - Heat 24V Supply
Y/O - Cool Contactor
W/B Heat Relay Valve
Y1 - Not in use in any of the 5 wire or Heat/Cool diagrams

Been at this after work for 3 days. Was 99 here in CA today! No fun!
Please help. Thanks in advanceb

Bridge Rc and RH together if you only have one 24 volt transformer supplying the system.

Also look on page 12 to set the type of system you have. It is on the back side of the thermostat.

Make sure the batterys are good also.

Then look on page 49 for the rest of the wiring.

Thanks - I downloaded the PDF. I can see already it is slightly different than the manual that came in the box! Nice diagram on page 11 also maps codes!

I will try and advise. But already appreciate your time on this! Good to get such good, focused help.

Thanks again!

Appreciate the SUPER follow-up you do.

Sorry to say did not work. But did identify that although I had 5 wires, I really only had a 4 wire Heat/cool setup as the C wire is not needed. Wired that - no go. Fan now runs continusously unless I pull plug.

So I got up at 5am CA time and called Hunter. After about 20mins got to their help desk.

They walked through it all, verified I was wired correctly, and had no options to offer. We did try jumping Rh, Rc, Rc1 in a 3 way, also just Rh-Rc. No difference.

They are sending another thermostat for free under wannanty.

Still 90+ today. Still no air. We had a prof HVAC guy in. Tuned up the coolant, etc. He manually forced on the air, so we know it works.

Any other ideas? Or I will just wait for the thermo.

Either way, appreciate the super feedback.

Thx again.

Wait for the new stat. From now on when you buy a new stat get a Honeywell or White Rodgers. Hunter is junk in my opinion.
