Hi,
I filed W7 for my wife (she is on H4) last year (and filed a Tax Return with that). I got her Federal Tax ID in mail. But can't seem to find it now.
Is there a way I can retrive her Fed Tax ID ?
Thanks

Your best bet is to call the IRS. Since they issued it, they will have it on file.
The only problem is convincing the IRS you are whom you say you are.
Good luck!

Specifically, call the IRS's Business and Specialty Tax Line: 800-829-4933. (url: Misplaced Your EIN? (http://www.irs.gov/businesses/small/article/0,,id=155444,00.html))

NineSignals:
The Fed ID of which he speaks is the ITIN, not the EIN.
He should call the regular 1-800 number for the IRS.

ITIN = Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. Sort of like a Social Security Number in that it is a unique identifier, but is for people who are not eligible for an SS number - such as foreign nationals who have federal tax reporting obligations in the US.
See Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) (http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96287,00.html) for details
