I lost my manual and I cannot remember if the toro lawn mower I have needs a specific motor oil, since this is the first time I needed to change it since I purchased it. Again, the mower I have is a Toro 6.5hp. I appreciate the help.

Go to the dealer where you bought the mower and get the oil they have for your specific machine. Do not use car oil in a lawnmower whatever you do as the oil will thicken up and blow your engine.

You're most welcome. The price of lawnmowers today is staggering and if you use the wrong oil you will pay heavily for the mistake. Did not want to even guess what weight, etc for you as I did not want to ruin your mower. Toros are top of the line darlings and should be treated to the proper oil.

Look on the dipstick, it will say there sometimes.
