Various references say that there are 70+ million bb's. One article said 58 million of the bb's will still be around in 2030.
So if there is a line forming for various benefits with the oldest, first in line (age 62ish in the front to 45ish at the back) I wouldn't want to be near the back of that line.
I think the article raises an extremely valid point.

Me too, I actually think it's VERY alarming. Over the last 28 years big companies have slowly gotten rid of the pension plan and left it up to the employee to basically save for their own retirement. Unfortunately, some of those that actually contribute to a 401K find it too tempting and cash them out.
Today, learning to spend less than you make is not good enough. You have to learn to spend a lot less than you make in order to make that 401K contribution in addition to everything else. Throw in insurance and it gets even worse.
