Hello to all. I am a new member. My problem is my ladyu kenmore dryer model #80901. It spins and drys but the drying temp is low. What and How do I check. I need the ohm readings ranges for the timer , heat risistance , etc. Thank you all very much.

Is this a 220 volt dryer? If so, I would go flip the circuit breaker off, then back on. One leg of the 220 may have tripped and you are only getting 110 volts.

Just a guess, but easy to try!

Dear Wally, this a 120 volt unit. Thank you for your answer.
Is the temperature low, or does it just take a long time to dry?
If the vent pipe is clogged with lint, it will restrict the airflow and cause poor drying (and other problems as well). I'd pull it out from the wall and check for lint build-up.

Good Luck,

I called out the service man on our new Kenmore large capacity dryer and felt like a fool when he cleaned a lint plug out of the vent hose ! We clean the screen every load, but I was amazed at the lint build up in the hose itself. That has never happened to us in nearly 40 years ! Maybe the newer ones have a more efficient air flow ?
