Hello. I am a mother who's son is doing homeschooling. As part of the program I have to check his tests. I would like to know if it would be possible for you to answer a couple of questions from his test and show work. This way it will be possible for me to grade his tests. THANK YOU!

Find the missing factor in the below ?'s:
#1: 6x^4 = (3x^3) (___?___)
#2: -35x^2y = (-5xy) (___?___)

DIVIDE:
#1. -15xy-10x / 5x
#2. 2x^2y - 6xy^2 + 12xy / 2xy

THANK YOU!!

6x^4=(3x^2)( )

The missing factor must contain 2 since 6=2 * 3
it also contains x^2 since x^4 = x^2 x^2

So 6x^4 = (3x^2)(2x^2)

-35x^2y = (-5xy)( )

The missing factor contains 7 and x
since -35 = (-5)*7 and x^2 = x x

If you mean -15xy - (10x)/(5x)
this equals -15xy -2

If you mean (-15xy - 10x)/(5x)

This equals (-15xy)/(5x) - (10x)/(5x)

= -3y - 2

If you mean 2x^2 y -6x y^2 + (12xy)/(2xy)

this equals 2x^2 y -6x y^2 + 6

If you mean (2x^2 y -6x y^2 + 12xy)/(2xy)

this equals (2xy(x - 3y + 6))/(2xy)

= x - 3y + 6
