Hello!

I try to clean my main sewer with my 1/2" mini rooter snake. It seems that it bindup probably with tree roots and would not reverse or go forward. Is there any other device that I can use to pull the sanke out? My mini rooter seems to over heat and shut off. The sewer is working fine when we flush the sewer which is a good indication that it does collapse.

Thank you

Edwin

Hey Edwin,
I'm assuming that you have a auger tip,(see image) similar to the one I've pictured, on the end of your cable and that the cable not broken.
You have no choice but to put the motor in reverse and pull back as hard as you can. Reversing the motor will allow the auger to back out of whatever's locking it up so it can be pulled back. There simply isn't anything else you can do except to dig the line up. Good luck, Tom
