I recently upgraded to mac osx 10.5.2 since doing this my adobe pdf printer has vanished, I upgraded Acrobat to 6.0.2 and have tried to re install using all the methods I have found on forums but still no joy. I'm apprehensive about deleting anything as the instructions given refer to operations that I am not familiar with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think there are problems with the distiller with Acrobat 6.x and 10.5.2. You could check & see if upgrading to a newer version of Acrobat would fix it... but printing to PDFs is built into the OS, so you might want to consider whether you really need the PDF distiller functionality.
