I have an 93 Taurus SHO. I previously asked about the transmission, Which by the way works fine, so Thanks TxGreaseMonkey(I think that was his name). Anyway. Now, It's doing something again. When it gets hot, It just stalls out. First let me say that it's not boiling over. The temp gauge is like...

H Normal C.

When it stalls out... The needle is pointing between "N" and "O". It doesn't matter what it's doing. Going down the road, sitting at a light, pulling out from the parking lot, etc etc. However, When it cools back down, It starts right up and does fine like nothing even happened.

My question is.. What could be causing it? The motor is a 3.2 24v DOHC. Any help/thoughts will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The link below should help:

You may need to replace the radiator, due to corrosion or mineral build-up. It's not uncommon on older vehicles. Don't keep driving it, until it's fixed, or you run the risk of warping the head and damaging the valves.

That sounds like a crank position sensor to me these cars are common for that considering its in a bad spot right under the water pump. And its okay for it to sit by the O in normal but check your thermostat too
