Hello,

I have irregular menstrual cycles but I have averaged it out to be about 39 days. My last menstrual cycle was May 11/08 and I should be due to get my period by the end of the week (around June 20th). Last night I woke up with achy cramps in my abdomen and they are still going strong tonight accompanied with some queasyness. These cramps are concerning me because I normally don't get cramps until the second day of my period but I don't have any bleeding yet. Also I always have very soar and enlarged breasts about a week before my period but this month they are not soar at all but they are very enlarged which is also very unusual for me. My boyfriend and I had sex using the withdrawl method on May 30, 31 and June 4th and 5th which could have possibly been around my ovulation time. How can I tell if this is just an unusual about of PMS or if it could be something else like possibly pregnancy?

If you are using the "withdrawl method" then yes, you could be pregnant. The withdrawl method is the same as trying to conceive, in my opinion. It's not a form of birth control, so, if you want a child there's a good chance of getting your wish with the withdrawl method.

Are you pregnant, well I don't know, the only way to know for sure is to do an hpt with first morning urine after a missed period. So, now you get to play the waiting game.

If you get lucky and you aren't pregnant, and you don't want a pregnancy in the near future, then start using birth control, otherwise you are playing russian roulette.

Good luck.

Its takes very little sperm to get pregnant without a guy coming inside you. I agree with the above post. Get tested, use a low hcg hpt, first response is good. If you still is unsure go to a doctor.
