Can you provide more specifics?

What is your source(s) of income?
Do you expect to get child support from your ex?
Can anyone, like a parent, help?
Have you investigated government programs for parents on a low income?

Let us know.

There are many programs that can help you
LIHEAP for utilities and food banks are two
Also learn to buy everything second hand, thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets, rummage sales.
In one shopping trip I can buy a bag of stuff for $20. That would have cost me $100. Or more shopping at the stores.

Apply for child support

I know in my situation, my husband has decided that I can't use the car without his permission (even though he bought it for me and now denies it) he has also (just this morning) requested that I do not spend any money (which I don't) unless I get his permission first. So, I seriously doubt he is going to give me anything when I leave or when he leaves. Whichever comes first. So, I have put an action plan together. I currently am doing daycare from my home. That is my business. 3 children will pay all of my bills and then some. Lots of parents do it. Also, I sell Partylite candles and whatever else that interests others. I am also opening my business for being a virtual assistant. You can do it. And I REFUSE to go to work. I want my children to still have their mother at home. So, it take some planning, but you can do it. If you must, go down to the government office. File for everything, health, food, cash assistance. When you apply for cash assistance, the government will MAKE the ex pay back into the system. So, essentially, you are getting the money from him, but through the government who pays you first and collects from him second. And they WILL make him pay! Be strong!

You've got to get to that divorce attorney fast and file for child support. If you've been a stay-at-home mom it is possible that you can also get spousal support for up to a year, but that varies depending on your location. Your lawyer should be able to tell you what you can get from your husband and about some programs available in your community.
