I have a program on my space page that I make a playlist based on urls of music on the net but I can't find some music I like. I was wondering if I can create my own url of my songs.does anyone know?

You would have to store the music on a WEB site somewhere

Many ISPs (the company you use to get on the internet) actually GIVE you webspace, but you never use it because it's more work to learn.

You can call your ISP or check their website for the tools for uploading files to your own personal webspace. My ISP allows me 7 email addresses and 10mb of web space per account, so I run a small "model rocket hobby site" with my space.

Anyway, you can upload these songs to your own web space, or risk uploading them to a public site... though most likely the public sites will spot the copyright breach and remove them, or ask you to.

Many of those sites that offer music for MySpace provide links to songs that have been made available on the Web. You can rest assured that (most of) these sites are legal to use and are paying the proper copyright fees to the record labels.

URL's can point to files on your computer but only you can access them. The format for this type of URL is file://\\c:\path_to_file...

Realistically, there is no difference between this and a Shortcut except that it is in a browser URL format.
