I am part of a 501(c)3 athletic organization. Unfortunately I can't find information on Regulations for running this type of business, all is specifically related to finances only. Where can I find information on running this type of business?

That's pretty vague. The reason you're finding financial information is because there are rules concerning the financial end of things. But asking how to "run" it is extremely ambiguous since there's a lot of aspects of running an organization, much of which isn't going to have any regulations. What exactly do you mean?

I am looking for required elements that we need to be following. For instance I know that our financial & meeting minutes are public, but to whom? League members, due paying members or anyone? How public; available upon request, posted? Is there a book about these type of things? How/where do I find?

GIMEDGIRL: I whishe I had an answer for you. I am more going to ask you a question. I work for the fire department and we are trying to start a not for profit athletic organization in the form of an olympic team? It would be greatly appreciated if you could give us a few pointers. Again we are trying to become a not for profit athletic organization and we also want to be able to provide some assistance to a charitable organization of our choice both with physical and financial help.
1. do you think we would be able to obtain a 501c3?
