Hello
I am looking for a movie title.
True story.
It was about an American guy who designed a super-efficient car, that used very little fuel.

He faced production problems due to the controls of the auto industry, and finally was unable to buy enough steel to make his cars.
Only about 40-50 of these cars were ever produced.

I think the movie is set in the 60's or 70's, and was possibly made in the 70's or 80's.
He was a young, charismatic actor... and somehow this movie always reminds me of 'The Hudsucker Proxy'... but it is a different one, though similarly about revolutionary business ideas and production.)
Thanks for your help. :)

It sounds like you're talking about "Tucker: The Man and His Dream".
