What would I be responsible for in a quitclaimdeed --would I have to make house payments or any other bills

You have to give us a little more info. Are you going to be buying the property and receiving a quit claim deed? If so then you are not individually responsible for paying the mortgage but the lender will still have the right to foreclose if the mortgage loan does not get paid. In addition most mortgages provide that if the property is sold then the mortgage is immediately due and payable.

If you are already an owner and you plan on selling your interest to someone by means of a quit claim deed, then you are still responsible for repaying the mortgage loan if you originally signed it. Transferring away your interest in the property does not relieve you of your obligation to pay back the loan.

The owner of the property is responsible for paying the taxes on the properlty. While they are not responsible for any payments on loans backed by the property as collateral, the property could be foreclosed on if the creditor of those loans fails to pay.

Often its better to tell us the whole story, then ask a specific question that you think is pertinent. There is just too many questions that your question generates.
