I have a whirlpool ultimate care washer. It won't drain or do anything after agitation.
I would like to test the lid switch. How can I do this? Thanks

YOu can test with a volt meter set to continuity or you can jumper around it if you are very careful as you are dealing with electricity. Need to work very safe

A quick easy test is to take the eraser end of a pencil and slowly press it into the hole in the top of the machine.
What you are listening for is whether the switch actuates. If it does, you will hear the click.
Also, check the switches actuator on the cover lid and make sure it hasn't broken off and is now top short to make contact with the arm of the switch
