Hi
If a person has had access to your computer for a length of time, is it possible for them to have made some sort of connection to it via there own computer in a different area so that they can see what your activity has been and deleate emails, files etc?
A briefcase file has recently appeared on my desktop which I do not recgognise & can only be opened if I am connected online & sometimes when my computer is first turned on there are two desktops on the screen.
I run my own business & believe that someone is blocking email enquiries to my business account or that they have set up some type of blocking system?

Possible yes. How probable would depend on their motive for gain, and how difficult would depend on the operating system you're running and the security policies you had in place before they were given access.
A briefcase file has recently appeared on my desktop...
"My Briefcase" is a file synchronization utility part of the Windows operating system.
...sometimes when my computer is first turned on there are two desktops on the screen.
You would have to explain that further or provide a screenshot for me to comment.
I run my own buisness & believe that someone is blocking email enquiries to my buisness account or that they have set up some type of blocking system?
If the person is outside your physical premises and you run your own mail server or have email hosted by an Internet Service Provider, blocking would take some doing. I think perhaps that there is an alternative explanation. Why do believe emails are being blocked?

Cut a long story short, I run my business from home from my now ex husbands computer who was a bit of a computer wizz. He set up/designed my website etc, all passwors have now been changed however since he moved out I haven't been receiving email enquiries.
When I start the computer up there are briefly two desktops on my monitor, with regards to the brief case folder this has just recently appeared on the desktop.

When you boot and see the two desktop, press the PRT SC button. This will copy the image of your screen into computer memory.
Now open an email (HTML mode is needed, plain text won't work) and try pasting (Ctrl-V) into that email.
If that doesn't work, open a Word document and paste (Ctrl-V) into there.
Save that doc and upload it here so we can see.
If the file is too big to upload, you can email it to me and I will edit it down to a postable size and upload it here for you.
