I just got an old Areins front tine roto tiller model 902008 serial 005558. It has a 4hp Briggs & Stratten. No manual and the revious owner is gone. Can't even tell if it 2 or 4 stroke. Does anyone know if it's a 2 and if so the oil/gas ratio?

Thx

One simple way of knowing on an engine that is not running is to see if there is an oil crankcase level checking point. The old two stroke does not have oil in the crankcase, therefore, meaning you probably have a four stroke engine that only takes oil in the crankcase, and regular gasoline in the gas tank.
