I am having a problem burning a DVD. I don't understand Converting, authering, and everything else. I have asked guys at work and they do understand it but when I talk to them they leave things out or they assume I understand. Is there a website or a DVD for dumbies I could download. I am not really looking for advice just a manual I can get to learn myself.

That's not a brief question.

You HAVE to have a DVD burning/authoring software installed on your computer. Any software you have will include a tutorial to get you through the basics. Nothing we do will match that aid already waiting for you.

What DVD burning software do you plan to use?

I have Nero, Alcohol 120. Mostly I have a problem with what files can be used with what program. What is the most common file, what is the best to use?

Open Alcohol 120
Start the Xtra Wizard
Drag and drop video files directly into this compilation page.
If you try to drop an unusable file type, it will tell you.
You can even drop whole folders and all video clips inside will be used.
Next, choose a spot on the hard drive for Alcohol to store the image it will create.
Start.
Next start the Image Burning Wizard and burn the image you just made onto a DVD.

For more specifc questions, use Alcohol 120's own forum:
