Having sex is just a physical act that can be done with anyone for any reason with any random person. It like fast food when you don't feel like cooking. You just doing it to satisfy whatever needs you have and don't care about that other person needs only your.
Making love have more of a connection, is passionate, and you are willing to put your sexual needs aside, and satify their.
To sum it up having sex is a physical satisfaction, while making love is an emotion high. I might be wrong but its my meaning.

There are all kinds of names for what adult folks do to each other in order to have pleasure and orgasm and/or to make a baby, or what homosexuals do with each other to have orgasms and pleasure. An endless list of names... coitus, sex, intercourse, fellatio, cunnilingus, making love, effing, s*cking, on and on and on.
As it turns out, it is all the same EXCEPT a person can be going for base animal sex.. :)
A person can be going for more spiritual congress.. :)
A person can be going through the motions.. :)
A person can e having a quickie.. :)
And so on.
It all depends on what a person wants out of a particular encounter. There are lots of different kinds of sex. :)

what is the difference between sex and love making?
Sex is the actual physical activity of copulating.
Love making is the entire process including touching, carressing, hugging, kissing, and lots of other foreplay (often elsewhere than in the bedroom or sofa) that leads (or should lead) to that physical activity.
