For Electric preparation, have a constant hot and neutral in switch boxes and Outdoor floods for PLC Control. (Use Deep Boxes)

TV) I would have 5 0r 6 RG 6's out to Satellite and FM Antenna? This will go to MultiSwitch Location. This Location will have 2 or 3 Coaxes going to rooms, 2 can be for TiVo, can be a Camera and feed back to Modulator for Baby Monitoring(you don't want wireless in your kids room/neighbors+snoops), Have coax to front door location, Dock, swimming pool, or other areas, run cat 5 and 2 conductot to camera location to allow about any camera(Network, IR illuminator, whatever) Then have the cameras go through a Modulator and Mix with Sat or Cable to allow viewing through all TV's, with Loop through so you can go to Network Modulator to allow Remote Viewing.
Phone, Use at least 2 Cat 5 to each location, 1 for Network connection, 1 for Telco, all home run to allow Phone System install if desired, a pair for fax, a pair for DSL(Whole house filter eleminates all those filters hanging out of all wall plates).
A shielded Cat 5 to front door will allow use of a Viking door box. You can answer front door from any phone in house or cordless on property, then look at channel 92, and you can see who is at front door any wher in the house. You can Listen at any time by 2 presses on the phone.
I would run all security wiring, Recessed Magnetics for doors, to motion locations, to AC transformer Location, Siren Location and Telco connection, Use 1 pair with for for 24 Hour tamper, Cutting phone will sound siren. Don't have Security Wiring in Structure Wiring Panel. Phone, Computer, Cable, Satellite Installers don't need access to your security, unless you want them too.
Then there is Multi Source Multi Zone Audio systems that allow use of a centrall located Audio System, That requires 2? Speakers in each room run bac to controller location, I like to have the Seaker pairs loop down to Key pad location to allow each room having the ability to connect to its rooms own system, also a Cat 5 from each Key pad to controller location.
Then there is IR control to think about. That allows IR control of devices in other areas of the house.
That Viking Door box with the c 1000 controller allows 2 output controls by phone, 1 can activate Door Strike, other could activate Electric Gate.
Home theater will require the speaker connections, And wiring Between Electronics and TV (Satellite, phone, HDMI, Audio)
I like the DSC Power 832 with the Automation board for Security, Lighting Control, Temperature control from anywhere in the world by phone, You can also Arm/Disarm/ check status, you don't need a computer, but you can Control with 1 if needed.

Good info here... I was pulling 2 RG-6 and 2 cat5 but was told by someone I should pull a 3rd cat5. I asked why and he didn't know..! What are the fibers for?

With 3 Cat 5/6's 1 can be for 2 lines, DSL, and Fax, By having 2 more allows a Computer and it's printer in same room, a Network Camera.

IR is another application of cat 5/6. In fact there are many signals that can be converted to CAT 5/6. VGA, Video to name 2.

I don't think the homeowner has a current application for fiber. CAT 6 is good for gigabit ethernet.

3 conductor to ceiling fixtures to accommodate fan/light independent control.

Consider lighting panels with low voltage lighting control.

Also consider automatic shades.

I have a "home room" for all my pulls. I have pulled speaker wire to each room with each room having independent control panel. 110v switch locations have Lutron 2 pr wire for whole house lighting control includiong exterior landscape lighting. 4 camera locations as well as front door ready for Viking style camera. I just wanted to be sure I was pulling enuff wire. I am going to increase to 3 RG-6, 2 cat5 and 1 cat6. Thanks much for all the help

If you are plannig remote thermostat control, Run a Cat 5 from thermostat location to Phone Connections or Alarm Panel.
