When I try to start my 1990 Honda Civic, the engine light comes on and it will not turn over. This usually happens when it is hot and humid outside, and it has been sitting in the sun. This has happened with previous owners, and they said they replaced the fuel injector and the fuel injector relay, but that it might be the main relay or 1000 other things. I do not want to start buying a lot of equipment since I only need the car for 2 more months. In addition I pulled the spark plugs on the engine; 3 of them are dry, and one is soaked with oil. Would this cause the problem? Also how do I tell if the car is 4c 1.5L or 4c 1.6L? I cannot find any label anywhere on the engine.

Replacing or resoldering the main relay is the usual solution to the problem described.

. Engine number is stamped on the front of the engine block.
