I have a Carrier 58PAV090 furnace air handler. The fan has multiple leads which are used to run the blower at different speeds. The black is for High speed, yellow for medium high, blue for medium low and red for low. In the cooling mode, the blower turns on when the thermostat calls for cooling and the compressor also turns on. All this works very well.

I want to run the blower continuously on low or medium low so air is continuously circulated in the house. When the thermostat calls for cooling, I want the blower motor to run on high to move the cool air into and around the house. When the thermostat is satisfied, I want to shift the speed back to low or medium low.

Is there a way to set this up on the Carrier air handler, or is there an after market gadget that can be purchased?

Yes you can. Here is a drawing that I have used in the past for many different reasons. It will do what you want but you might need to modify to usage.
