I just did a bathroom remodel and the vanity is higher than the old one. In order for it to be above the backsplash it needs to go up about 3". Can and how do I move it?

For drywall wall, I would:
0. Turn off outlet's breaker.
1. Open up wall.
2. Install additional blocking to nail outlet's electrical box to.
3. Move outlet's electrical box.
4. Patch drywall.

But, that's a lot of work plus existing wiring could be too short... thinking now I could learn to love short/really tall/no backsplashes.

I just removed the outlet and the wire is coming in from the top so I don't think I'll need to do any splicing.

Thanks. I already moved the outlet. Took about 10 minutes. Works! So glad the wiring came from the top!
