My husband and I are not legally separated and there is no legal custody arrangement for our children. He lives in Montana, has registered to vote in Montana, has a car registered in Montana, and has worked there for the last four years, we also own a home in Montana.
I live in Colorado, work in Colorado, have a car registered in Colorado, am registered to vote in Colorado, we also own a home in Colorado.
Our daughter was home schooled and at various times has lived in both states. She has lived with me for almost the last year.
My question is - can she qualify for in-state tuition in both Colorado and Montana. It seems like she should since taxes have been paid in both states. I am tempted to have her fill out the application for Montana and not mention me, or the jobs she has held in this state and have her not give the Montana information for her applications to Colorado. I am afraid that too much information just makes a mess and she won't qualify for in-state any where.
