View Full Version : Multi media controller can't be installed

I am using windows xp prof edition on my desk top, I one day found that there is no sound in my system, the system recognize my real tech AC`97 audio but when my install the driver the system gets restarted. I then disabled the automatic system restart and then installed it this was the message.technical information 0x0000007e(0xc0000005,0xef0db46d,0xf8984aa0,0xf898 479c) protocol.sys address ef00b46d base at ef0db00 date stamp 41107f13 beginning dumb of physical memory.

I entered the safe mode the driver successfully installed but when I restart , there is no driver


I disabled it and installed it successfully instally and when I enable it it restarts again


can you please solve this problem for me

Is you driver compatible with your sound card or not ? And increase the virtual memory.

Could I know your RAM size ?

Its 512 mb

Earlier I used the same driver

Try restoring the computer back a few weeks at a time and see if the sound returns. Might have to go back several hops.

It doesn't work on system restore

May I know what is the problem,
