The morning after pill is a back up to your current birth control method and is taken in two doses and must be used without 72 hours of unprotected sex(condom break)but more effective if taken within 24 hours.

Like everything else it is not 100% guarantee and a pregnancy test should be done within a week to make sure your not pregnant.

Most women use this in case of an emergency, but should not be use an a regularly birth control method and don't protect against std's.
