My landlord has recently called my in-laws and told them that we were partying and that I am sleeping with my nieghboor, and that she has tried to get a hold of my and I won't talk to her. None of these things are true. My In-laws are not in any way on my lease agreement. What can we do about this?

All you really have right now is, he said, she said.

It would be difficult to prove any of this, if everyone involved is willing to lie.

You would have to prove legitimate damages, and those damages would need to be worth a dollar amount.

Not sure how to determine the dollar amount that would apply to what you claim has been said, or, exactly how you have been damaged?

I'm sure if you confront the landlord, they will deny having said any of this, but at least you would have the satisfaction of voicing your disapproval.

I wonder what the landlord wants from you anyway?

Why would they say that you won't talk to them?

Is this by chance a desperate attempt by the landlord to collect any unpaid rent, by trying to embarrass or belittle you in their eyes?

Our rent has always been paid on time I once painted her own house and she didn't like how much I was charginging but in the end I took the cut and took what she gave me. But that was a while ago and now we have new tenents under us that complain about everything we have only had two complaints in a year and three months but she is starting to get mean about this.

What you have is people who are gossiping, the being or not being on the rent has nothing to do with this. So call and tell her that her lies are not doing any good.
