My son will not drive cause he so scared

I don't know what to suggest because I have had this issue myself.
I had to go to a sleep clinic for a test because that sounded like a medical condition called sleep paralysis here is a link for a website to look at and then get him tested and he doesn't show the symptoms at the clinic then I would consider getting a home cleansing.
