We have been served an Unlawful detainer for non payment of rent,we filed an answer just like we were supposed to.We received our court date for June 19th. Our landlord has been messing around with the utilities.He has been shutting off the water,when we call him he says he has no idea what is going on.I can't call the water co. because it is on a well, right? I think he is also tapped into the meter water as well but I am not sure.I have no idea what to do.
The water is off right now and he still says he does not know what is going on.If he does not know should I take the chance and call the water co? I need to find out if HE is messing around with us and if he is.. what can we do?:(

If you can prove he is tampering with the utilities, you can file charges against him.

The key is, you will have to be able to prove that he is the individual responsible for the problems.

If it is on a well, don't you have your own pump and power supply to that pump?

Have you checked the fuse/breaker for the pump?

The water well is on the other property.He built a house out of the back side of our garage and the well is on that other side,it runs both houses. So does the electric and everything else.I don't even think he has permits for that house.I have checked the breaker for the pump.. that is in our yard(the electric box).
