My father is Portuguese and I was born in zimbabwe together with my young brother, the thing is me and my young brother we all have zimbabwean birth certificates using my father's surname. We don't know whether our dad is still alive or he is long dead, my father and my mum where just a boyfriend and a girl friend meaning that they never got married and we don't even know my father's relatives... how can I go on and apply for a portuguese documents... please help me..

Contact the Portuguese Embassy or their nearest Consulate, and discuss this with them.

If...
Your parents were not legally married.
Your father failed to report birth of Portuguese citizen overseas to the consulate when you were born..
If these two conditions apply to you, and you are now over 18 years old... forget it.
