So I bought a new Thermostat and have tried many different wiring configurations to get this thing to work and nothing seems to be right.

The old thermostat has 7 wiring posts.

G - Y - W - RH - RC - RC - B - O

There is a short piece of wire that connects the Y to the W. And there is also a short piece of wire connecting the RH to the RC.

There are 4 wires coming out of the wall. Green to the G. White to the W. Red to the RC and Blue to the O.

The back of the thermostat I bought has RH - RC - W - Y - G

The manufacturer of the old Thermostat which works sometimes is Alaskan AC and they want to charge me $250 just for a new thermostat. I just bought the house in October and I can't see spending that much on something that should cost 80 bucks or less.

I live in Arizona and it is starting to get hot!!

Please help me.

You have the wrong kind of thermostat. Your old thermostat looks like it was for a heat pump system and the new one is not. O is for a reversing valve and they are used in a heat pump system.
