View Full Version : Cannot remove globe from ceiling fan Hampton Bay

I saw the previous posts, but we still cannot figure out how to get the glass globe off our ceiling fan. We have tried slowly turning globe, but do not detect anything lining up to pull off the globe. Will it pull down? Is there another piece holding it up? Is it a twist and turn?
The actual problem is that the remote will not shut off the light. It is a dimmer light with 3 settings. At this point, I would be happy just removing the light bulb, but can't get the globe off!
Where are the receiver setting for the remote in the fan... under the globe I am assuming.

Thank you for your help.

If Counterclockwise from below doesn't work, It may take excessive/dangerous pressure to free up, gloves and eye protection can only help.
I have gotten all off but wonder if cooling globe with Ice could help?
Sounds like yours unscrews and not the three screws?

The receiver is either in the canopy or in the motor housing. Have you checked at the ceiling?

Does the remote LED light up when you attempt to control the light?
