I have just made confectioner's custard and it has been in the fridge for about 2 hours, but it is still quite runny. I need it to make custard slices. Is there anything I can do to thicken it.
Thank you

Maybe you added a bit more than the required amount of water/milk?

I am not sure if there is anyway to make it more solid after it has set,as the set bits will get lumpy if you try to stir it more.

Hopefully someone will be around to help you in a bit.

Here is a favourite of mine... you might like to try it.:)

Try a biscuit layer as a base and on that arrange some diced fruits, then pour in jelly(I use the jelly that is in crystal form which you have to cook in water).
When the jelly has set you could arrange biscuits or diced fruits then pour the custard on top.
Chill and serve.

If you have a glass dish, this would make a lovely presentation dessert.
