I am wiring a new addition. I am installing a Hunter ceiling fan and light kit. I have a three way switch for the light and then a single pole switch for the fan. I found a three way diagram for the light part, but I am confused as to how to wire the fan switch. Here is what I have so far. On the three way switch I have the red and ground wire nutted together. I have the white/black on one switch nutted with the black on the other switch. On the fan switch I am not sure what to connect to. I know that the remaining black and white wires go to the black and white wires on the ceiling fan. My question is this: Do I wire the Black/white wire from the fan to the black one for the fan switch and then nut together the three white ones or do I do it the other way around?

Sorry if this long but I am trying to give as many details as possible.

I have the three way switches working fine. Whenever I hook up the fan switch it blows the breaker.

White from the fan connects to neutral from the power supply. Black from the fan connects to one side of the fan switch. The other side of the switch goes to hot from the power supply.

I actually got it figured out. I needed to get power to the fan switch. Once I did that it then worked the way I wanted. Thanks for the reply.

Yes that sounds correct.
