Trying to install a new thermostat the old one is a totaline and has the following wires connected

C blue
w/w1 white

On the new thermostat which is a Hunter 44260 it has the following

Cannot figure out which wires to connect to which areas.

Go buy something other than a Hunter.

Cap C, you won't use it.
Rc jumped to Rh and becomes R

Everything else you can match up.

If your new tstat has a C terminal you will use the blue wire. It eliminates the need for batteries. I second getting something other than Hunter. Get a name brand, Honeywell, White-Rogers, RobertShaw, etc. Make certain it is for a heat pump if that is what you have (it appears so).
