I've been searching for a way to display my hats that's both decorative and practical. I had considered using styrofoam balls cut in half, but I don't know what to attach them to, or how, in order to affix them to the wall. I'm also afraid that the foam won't be sturdy enough for long time use. Please, if anyone has any better ideas on hat display, lay it on me. =) Thanks in advance. ~F

I have several hats from the 1920s-1950s. Some I have used the styrofoam ball idea, but for some, that just doesn't work well.
I've taken that green foam that florists use, wrapped it in a few layers of tissue paper, and stuck a tack, point out, into the middle of the foam on the side that will be on the wall. I then hang the hat on the foam.

I have seen where the hats have been placed in the large, probably gallon size, zip lock bags and then a thumb tack being placed in the bags flaps to hold it to the wall. This protects the hats from dust collection.
