We are having a big problems with spiders this year. They are in our house and won't go away. It has never been this bad. However I am reluctant to use pesticides or insecticides because I have a dog and 3 cats(one of the cats has a mental disorder and he eats almost anything he finds on the floor for example: tacks, fuzballs, dust, bugs, leaves, rocks, golf teas exedra... ) I need something petsafe and effective. I have herd that lavender is a good spider repellant ,however I have also herd it is harmful to pets. I want to kill the spiders that are inside and keep the ones that are outside from wanting to come indoors. PLEASE RESPOND WITH ANY INFORMATION YOU HAVE! Any information will be much appreciated.

Thank you for your time,

I can't validate the claim, but have heard that hedge apples will repel spiders.

They have a very pungent odor, that I myself can't stand, so maybe it does work if a spider can detect smells as well as I can?

Good Luck!
